Melk advent

Embedded in the baroque ambience of Melk Abbey, you will find the enchanting Melk Advent in the old town and in the pedestrian zone.

In the Christmas-decorated city center, an extensive supporting program gets you in the mood for the great festival. Musically, a colorful mixture of rousing sounds awaits you, from classical choral singing to traditional brass music and modern highlights.

In the lovingly decorated booths, you will find handicrafts and lots of gift ideas as well as culinary delights.

We also have a lot to offer for little visitors, including a ride on the pony carriage or baking cookies in the children's bakery. On December 6, St. Nicholas visits the Melk Advent and on December 20 we eagerly await the Christ Child, who brings a small gift for each child.
