Not far from the monastery town of Melk lies the recreational area Jauerling. In about 30 minutes by car you can reach the top of the 960 m high mountain. It is thus the highest elevation in the Wachau.

Perfectly groomed slopes, the children's ski park "Jauliland" and après-ski fun in the modern ski hut leave nothing to be desired by ski enthusiasts. With floodlight operation from Wednesday to Saturday, children's ski school and ski rental on site, the small but beautiful ski area is one of the top equipped ski resorts in Lower Austria.

How the current slope conditions are and whether you have good visibility in the mountain or valley station, you can see via livestream of the Jauerling webcam.
