The Green Path

The green path leads from the Wachau Info Center directly to the city park, which was created by Melk citizens at the end of the 19th century as a savings bank park.

The park was revitalized in 2012. In the process, the historic network of paths was adapted to meet modern requirements. The park now includes a modern playground, lawns, perennial areas, numerous seating areas and trees over 100 years old.
